Neptune Flood is a private flood insurer vs the government-backed NFIP. Flood insurance from Neptune is available nationwide, making it even easy for customers to get the flood coverage they need. A Neptune flood policy can provide the same coverage as the NFIP or broader coverage if selected as additional coverage.
Neptune also offers a reduced waiting period of only 10 days compared to the 30-day waiting period under the NFIP. For new home loan closings, Neptune Flood does not apply a waiting period to their flood insurance plan. Neptune Flood’s policies are currently backed by Lloyd’s of London.
