Aon Edge was founded in 2003 and is a division of Aon. They offer private Flood Insurance to homeowners with quick, streamlined underwriting.
Private flood insurance from Aon Edge is an alternative to the federally-sponsored insurance offered by the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Flood insurance plans are available in all states except Alaska, Washington D.C., Hawaii, and Kentucky.
They offer their own standalone “EZ Flood” plan which is available in any “A” flood zone and select B, C, V, and X flood zones. Excess Flood is also available for properties that are above the NFIP maximum payout limits and is designed to supplement the NFIP insurance policy but not replace it like their EZ Flood plan.
Aon Edge has a Nsure.com insurance carrier rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars based on our research.
They are not Better Business Bureau accredited but have a BBB Rating of “A”.
Our carrier rating takes into account several factors about the insurer, our industry-experienced research, policyholder’s feedback, and other publicly available data. We also take into account the carrier’s financial stability, organizational structure, and history as well as their historical claims payout data to generate our comprehensive carrier profiles with a low to high rating of between 1 to 5 stars.
Aon Edge has an A.M. Best Credit Rating of “A or Excellent”, a Credit Rating scoring opinion of an insurer’s financial strength and ability to meet their ongoing insurance policy and contractual obligations.
